A: Founded by professional chef Kevin Mulkerrins, The Shiny Blade combines 20+ years of culinary expertise with a passion for premium blades and professional tools.

Q: Are your knives authentic?
A: Yes — all our knives are 100% genuine and sourced directly from official UK suppliers. We are an official WÜSTHOF partner and work directly with select brands.

Q: Do you sell Japanese knives?
A: Yes — we offer a curated selection of high-end Japanese knives including Global, Sakai Takayuki, and more.

Q: Can I buy a full knife set?
A: Absolutely. We offer individual knives and curated sets — from 3-piece essentials to full 5-piece collections. Custom bundles available on request.

 Ordering & Delivery

Q: How fast is delivery?
A: We offer next-day courier delivery within London and 2–3 day delivery nationwide. Our London customers can enjoy our Signature Personal Drop-Off service.

Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: Currently, we deliver across the UK. International shipping may be available soon — stay tuned via our newsletter.

Q: How much does shipping cost?
A: Orders over £100 qualify for free UK shipping. Under £100, standard shipping is £4.95. Local London hand-delivery is £6.95.

A: We accept all major credit/debit cards, PayPal, and offline bank transfer. Secure checkout is powered by GoDaddy and Square.

Q: Is it safe to order online?

A: Always hand-wash and dry your knives immediately. Use a honing rod weekly, and a whetstone for occasional sharpening. We also offer care guides via our blog.

A: Yes. We provide a professional sharpening service for London customers. Contact us directly for pricing and scheduling.

 Returns & Exchanges

Q: Can I return or exchange a knife?
A: Yes. Unused products can be returned within 14 days for a full refund or exchange. Custom or used items may not qualify.

Q: What if my product arrives damaged?
A: Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with images, and we’ll sort it out immediately.
